Background
Uvas Felices goes beyond wine sales, actively preserving Spain's winemaking heritage through partnerships with renowned vintners across ten Denominaciones de Origen (DOs). Originating from a wine shop and delicatessen, co-owners Francisco Martí and Quim Vila transformed it into a successful enterprise in the 1990s. Martí, owner of Ca N'Estruc, and Vila shared a passion for reviving old grape varieties and conserving old vines. Their dedication led to the creation of the innovative "Uvas Felices" (Happy Grapes) project in 1998, featuring wines like Paisajes and Viña al Lado de la Casa.
Production process
This wine is hand-harvested to select only the finest grapes. With a minimalist approach, natural yeasts ferment the grapes at controlled temperatures. The stems add complexity to its flavor profile. After fermentation, the wine ages for 14 months in French oak vats and barrels, followed by 6 months in the bottle for further refinement.
