This wine impresses with a deep, nearly mahogany color, with hints of purple shining through. Clear and lively, it bursts with ripe fruit flavors. Take a whiff, and you'll notice subtle notes of oak, minerals, and spice, adding depth to the bold fruitiness. Despite its juicy essence, the tannins are gentle and the body is nicely balanced, creating a truly enjoyable experience.

Background

For more than 150 years, the Tetas family cared for vines in Sant Cugat Sesgarrigues, Spain. This love for winemaking blossomed into Bodegas Pinord in 1942, founded by Josep Maria Tetas in Alt Penedès. Remaining loyal to traditional methods, Pinord's name is a tribute to their origins: Pi del Nord, their original estate. They've embraced organic farming without compromising quality and introduced Spain's first "needle wine," or semi-sparkling wine, Reynal. This innovation, along with growth and the emergence of “Cavas Marrugat”, established Pinord as a significant presence in Penedès by the 1960s.

Production Process

This Spanish wine is a Demeter-certified biodynamic pioneer. Aged in new oak barrels for a year, it delivers a powerful, balanced, and distinctive red wine experience.
