Background
Since 1882, the Chávarri family has been crafting wines in Rioja Alavesa, the smallest but no less respected subregion of Rioja. Their winery, Familia Chávarri, takes vineyard selection very seriously – it's a reflection of their deep tradition and commitment to excellence. They've always believed that amazing wines begin with meticulous vine care.
Every bottle of Chávarri wine tells a story – a story of dedication, love, and respect for their heritage and the land that sustains them.
Production Process
Chavarri's Gran Reserva Rioja begins with the king of Rioja grapes, Tempranillo. Harvested at their peak, the grapes rush to the winery for meticulous sorting and gentle pressing. Next comes fermentation in cool, controlled chambers, coaxing out the best from the fruit. Finally, the wine slumbers in quiet storage, awaiting its grand transformation.
