Tasting Notes
Armand de Brignac offers an inviting aroma of ripe stone fruits and berries with hints of citrus, floral notes, and toast. The palate delivers rich flavors of exotic fruits and cherries, balanced by refreshing vanilla, lemon and honey.
Background
The Cattier family, with a winemaking history dating back to 1625, established Armand de Brignac. Initially a limited-production champagne, it gained mainstream recognition in 2006 after appearing in a Jay-Z music video. The unique metallic bottle with its blingy pewter Ace of Spades logo became a pop culture icon. Armand de Brignac's Brut Gold achieved critical acclaim in 2011, Gwinning "Best Champagne" from FINE Champagne magazine. The champagne strikes a balance between complexity and drinkability.
Production Process
A small team of 18 craftspeople meticulously oversees every step of Armand de Brignac's production, from hand-selecting grapes to applying the pewter labels. This meticulous attention to detail ensures consistent quality in every bottle. Notably, the champagne undergoes a year of aging in French oak barrels, adding depth to the flavor profile.
