Tasting Notes

This wine offers aromas of ripe cherries, subtle rose petals, and hints of wild oregano. It delights the palate with a lively, refreshing character and a silky smooth texture that lingers. An easy-drinking yet elegant wine, it beautifully expresses the essence of its fruit and terroir.

Background

Located in Valdejalón, an underrated wine region near Campo de Borja, Cariñena, and Calatayud, Bodegas Frontonio is making significant strides under the leadership of Fernando Mora, a former engineer turned winemaker. Their 200-year-old cave winery utilizes gravity for processing, providing an optimal environment for aging wines. Since 2019, they have focused on producing single-vineyard wines to showcase the unique qualities of each vineyard plot. With a commitment to blending tradition and innovation, Bodegas Frontonio is swiftly gaining recognition in the Garnacha wine world.

Production process

This wine was aged for 5 months on lees in stainless steel tanks to enhance richness and texture. It continued its maturation for an additional 8 months in used French oak barrels, imparting gentle notes of spice and vanilla that complement rather than overshadow the fruit character.
