Background
Pedro Moreno, known as "El Moreno," founded Bodegas Pedro Moreno in the early 20th century. Initially, the focus was on selling large volumes of bulk wine. However, in 1940, their passion evolved, and they began producing their own bottled wines. Their first creation, "Viña Turquesa," debuted in 1985.
Winemaking gradually became a family business. Pedro's children took the helm in the 1960s, and the tradition continued with the third generation in 1998. The winery is located on the Utiel-Requena plateau, where the climate is perfect for grape ripening.
