Background

Bodegas Hispano+Suizas was founded by three friends united by a lifelong passion for creating unique, high-quality wines born from meticulous care and a deep understanding of the craft.

Nestled in the heart of Spain's renowned Utiel-Requena region, the winery thrives thanks to tradition and innovation. They work with just 61 hectares of their own vineyards, ensuring special attention to every vine. From Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc to Bobal and Syrah, the diverse array of grapes allows them to create a harmonious blend of flavors.

Their philosophy is simple: quality is better than quantity. With a mere 2kg of grapes per vine, they prioritize concentration and character in every bottle. The harvest stretches across three months, allowing each grape variety to reach its peak flavor before its transformation.

And then comes the magic. They blend, they experiment, they age – all guided by the same goal: to create wines that are both distinctive and accessible. Just like a symphony, each element works in perfect harmony, resulting in a truly memorable experience.

Their names reflect their musical inspiration: Impromptu, Tantum Ergo, Bassus – each bottle an invitation to discover a unique melody of aromas and taste.

Production Process

From meticulously selected, low-yielding vines, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes are delicately handled, undergoing cool storage, separate vinification, and unique maceration techniques. Fermented in oak barrels and undergoing a slow additional fermentation in the bottle, the wine then ages for at least 44 months before hand-operating disgorging, resulting in a complex and refined product.
