Background
Nicknamed "The Flying Scotsman," Norrel Robertson established a winery in Spain's Calatayud region. His El Escocés Volante (it means "The Flying Scotsman") brand mainly focuses on Garnacha grapes, showcasing both his passion and dedication to the craft. Each bottle reflects his respect for traditional winemaking methods.
Production process
Finca del Val's Syrah grapes were meticulously processed: cold storage, gentle crushing, and a 6-day cold soak. Co-fermented with Viognier grapes for complexity, then aged for 14 months in seasoned French oak to enhance spice while respecting the fruit's character.
