Background

4Kilos is a unique winery founded in Mallorca in 2006 by a winemaker and a music festival director Sergio Caballero and his partner Francesc Grimalt, who is also a winemaker. They focus on highlighting the character of the grapes and use a blend of local and international varieties. Starting small with milk refrigeration units, they've grown into a respected producer known for innovation and quality. Their vineyards are spread across Mallorca and their name reflects their modest initial investment, proving that passion can make great wine.

Production Process

The wine from this year's harvest is made entirely from the Calle grape variety. Fifty percent is fermented in stainless steel barrels, while the other half is fermented in oak barrels with a capacity of 2500 liters. Subsequently, the wine is aged for 14 months in new French oak barrels.
