Tasting Notes
This wine packs a flavorful punch with ripe fruit and interesting spice notes. Oak aging adds hints of vanilla and cedar, all smoothed out by tannins that leave a lasting impression.
Background
In the heart of Spain's Ribera del Duero wine country, Bodegas Imperiales has been producing exceptional wines since 1998. Their secret? Over 20 hectares of Tinta Fina vines, some dating back a hundred years. Here, age-old traditions blend with modern knowledge to create wines that capture the very essence of the region. With minimal intervention, they allow the grapes and the land to speak for themselves, resulting in wines that are both consistently delicious and undeniably special.
Production Process
This wine is crafted solely with Tempranillo, the crown jewel of Spanish grapes. Each bottle undergoes a meticulous aging process, resting for 14 months in French oak casks before reaching its peak of smoothness and refinement after over 40 months.
